Grab Leonard St
London
2011

Affordable and healthy everyday Thai food was translated to an architectural concept for GRAB Everyday Thai Food. For the design of this small, oblong space we chose inexpensive materials that are affordable to the starting food establishment but also reveal an attitude towards the fake industry which is created around food and retail in metropolises such as London.

A wall to the right from entrance is clad with wooden Euro pallets. Furniture and counter is constructed out of untreated wooden planks and the back walls are out of zinc roofing. The diners sit on plastic stools which are the epitome of street food in Thailand.
